Received a lovely e-mail from Sarah (see post one below!) a few days ago with a photo attachment from her iPhone to show off the placement of the canvas they purchased from their e-session. I just wanted to post this to say that you really can live with photos of yourselves in your own home! Many times clients are a bit hesitant b/c they don't want large images of themselves up-but we always try to shoot for some images that would work well large as more of an art piece.

Rupert + Sarah Engaged

A few weeks ago we photographed Sarah + Rupert's e-session in Ann Arbor-they had to take the red eye from L.A. to come all the way to MI to do wedding planning for their upcoming wedding on Mackinac Island (cannot wait!!) this August-and stopped over with us for a few hours to do their session and order their images. Working on about 4 hours of sleep they still look like they model for a living! We even got up at 5 a.m. to take advantage of the pretty morning light-something we rarely do since we typically are up around 8 a.m. and work till 9 p.m. every day in the summer! Sometimes being the early bird pays off. :)

Melisa + Ryan's gorgeous winter Pittsburgh wedding

A million years ago in February we traveled to Pittsburgh to photograph Melisa + Ryan's gorgeous wedding at Carnegie Hall. We had a blast-and the wedding was a photographers delight in so many ways.

We have been bad bloggers since with this new blog we were still trying to figure out how we wanted to present our images. We have decided to go back to our original method of showcasing bigger images since our loyal blog followers enjoyed that best.

PDN TOP KNOTS 2009!

We had the great joy of finding out we placed two images in PDN Top Knots 2009!

We placed back in 2007 and it was amazing to place again! Even more so since we took home Best of Category: Candids from one of our favorite images ever-Amanda + Matt's vintage wedding at the Guardian Building in Detroit.

balloons

Today we had the total pleasure of photographing rupert + sarah's e-session. Towards the end of the session sarah said "wouldn't it be awesome if we could get some balloons and take some photos with them?" and we said "YES!!" so we did. More to come soon!
